I just wanted to let you know that I am learning new information in the series.(Love & Faith)
I thought the faith series was deep with much revelation. But the love series is much deeper.
How is it possible to read and hear the scriptures for years and still hear something new every single Bible study? Were all those years wasted?
You said faith works by love…God is love and you backed it up with good scriptures…
I don't think I've heard anyone read pass the verse that talks about the disciples having all things common. That portion of scripture, I was told, had to do with tithing but when you read pass the other verses..its broader..it's about love and sharing…not generally found in larger churches which you so rightly pointed out..
Also, I was reminded last night that love would remove selfishness and competition…
It's generally accepted in larger churches that the first person in the car and out the parking lot is probably the most spiritual…I've been to picnics with over 1000 in attendance and still see that most families were in their lonely separate cliques..
You were also right about being hospitable to visitors to the church and .................................
